Home appliances rarely die completely. What usually dies is a small plastic part whose real value is tens of riyals, yet it takes an appliance worth hundreds or thousands out of service. Worse, the dealer says the part is unavailable, or sells it only inside a full kit priced close to a new appliance. Here is a list of the parts we are asked for most, grouped by appliance, along with what you need to know before ordering.

Most requested, by appliance

• Fridge: door handles, door shelves broken at the end, crisper drawer covers, internal drawer hinges.
• Washer and dryer: door lock clips, detergent drawer handles, leveling feet, filter covers.
• Kitchen: food processor and blender gears, jug lids, pot and pan handles, coffee machine cup holders.
• Furniture and cabinets: shelf connectors, drawer stops, tube end caps, office chair bases.
• Electronics: remote battery covers, cable clips, monitor mounts, port covers.

What all of these share: they are plastic, relatively small, and not exposed to high heat or heavy mechanical load. That is exactly the zone where 3D printing excels.

How do we get dimensions right from a photo?

This is the question that worries customers most, and the answer is simpler than expected. We need three things from you:

• Photos from three sides: front, side, and top, on a light background with clear lighting.
• A ruler or caliper in the same photo: so we know the real scale rather than guessing.
• At least three numbers: the longest dimension, the widest dimension, and the diameter of any hole or screw.

If the part mounts into a specific spot, photograph that spot too along with its measurement. The mounting size often matters more than the part itself, because the part may be worn or broken while the opening it fits into is still intact.

The part is in pieces, or completely lost

If the part is broken into pieces, gather them and photograph them together. We can usually reconstruct the original shape from the fragments even if a small chunk is missing.

If it is lost entirely, there are three paths: a photo of the spot it mounts into with measurements, a photo of the matching part on the other side of the appliance if one exists, or the appliance model number so we can look up the part's shape in service manuals. Any one of these is usually enough to start.

Which material suits your part?

Material choice follows the part's job, not its looks. Parts that take tension or repeated impact, such as gears, clips, and door handles, are printed in a strong, slightly flexible material that bends before it breaks. Parts near moderate heat, such as exterior oven handles, need higher heat resistance than usual. Cosmetic parts like covers and trims are printed in a material that captures finer detail.

We specify the material with your quote and explain why. And if your part will work in conditions plastic cannot handle, such as metal parts or parts exposed to open flame or engine heat, we say so from the start rather than letting you pay for a part that fails in a week.

Cost and time

Cost has two parts: modeling starts at SAR 100 depending on complexity and is paid once, and printing is based on the part's weight and size, with small parts usually inexpensive. Turnaround is two to five days depending on complexity.

And the benefit customers value most: your file stays on record with us. If the same part breaks a year later, or you need another copy for a similar appliance, we print it for the printing cost alone with no redesign fee.
